We would like you to meet Ivy, our little ‘Pocket Rocket’. She is 8yrs old from Newcastle, NSW and a is Skateboarder. Ivy has been skating for almost 2years and in that time has progressed from just learning to push along the beach paths to now dropping in on 14.5ft Vert ramps.
Skateboarding is Ivy’s passion, she loves it and the sport has allowed her to grow in self confidence, build resilience (she has encountered some pretty heavy slams!!!) and develop new skills she never thought she could achieve.
Ivy has entered many competitions, mostly competing against other competitors twice her age and came away with some great results. But her favourite thing about competing is be able to do it with her skate friends or meet some new ones!
Skateboarding makes Ivy smile and that in itself is worth any trophy or medal! She has so much determination and such an awesome ‘never give up attitude’ that one day her goal is to become a Pro skater and compete in the Olympics for Australia.
